Each year, the City of Fort Collins allocates funding through a Competitive Process with two funding cycles, one in the spring and the other in the fall. The spring cycle has funding available for public services, community development activities and affordable housing projects. The fall cycle has funding targeted specifically for affordable housing projects.
2009 Fall Competitive Process for Affordable Housing Projects
About $1 Million Expected for Fall 2009
As part of the City’s Competitive Process for allocating Federal CDBG and HOME funds and the City’s Affordable Housing Fund monies, we are currently accepting applications for approximately $1M in available funding.
What is Eligible
The following activities may be funded:
- acquisition and construction of affordable housing projects, including land purchase
- housing rehabilitation; and
- some soft costs related to affordable housing development.
In addition, other activities such as public facilities and economic development projects that benefit a low-moderate income population may be eligible to apply. Public Service activities will not be considered for funding in this Fall cycle.
How to Apply
Please download applications to the left. The deadline for applications is Thursday, August 20, 2009 at noon (our clock). Please submit 30 application copies for housing projects and 20 application copies for non-housing proposals.
Mandatory Application Workshop - Monday July 13, 2009
