Priority Affordable Housing Needs and Strategies Report - Ken Waido,
This document is the first step in updating the City's Priority Affordable Housing Needs and Strategies Report. This study identifies the supply and demand for affordable housing by various income levels. The Affordable Housing Board and the CDBG Commission will use this data to develop a strategic plan for addressing the affordable housing needs, including the utilization of existing and expected financial resources. The strategic plan will be completed and available for public review by the end of the year. Once completed, the strategic plan will form the basis for the Consolidated Housing & Community Development Plan, a document required by the Department of Housing and Urban Development for a city to remain eligible for its entitlement grant programs.

"Can I Be Your Neighbor?" Affordable Housing Posters Reach 26 Organizations in 18 States!
In 2004, to continue efforts to put a face on local affordable housing issues, our Northern Colorado cooperative launched the "Can I Be Your Neighbor?" poster campaign. This public awareness effort builds on the 2002 "Faces and Places of Affordable Housing" campaign. We cannot thank enough all those involved who made this campaign stretch from California to Massachusetts! The National and Local Boards of Realtors covered the printing costs, 4 citizens volunteered to pose for the photos, and the City's Affordable Housing staff designed and distributed. To see the posters, find out how you can get a set, or hear the whole story, fcgov.com/affordablehousing/neighborposters.php.
