Sally Withers was paralyzed on her left side after a severe stroke. This was especially difficult in the beginning since Sally is a "lefty" and used her left-hand for basic movements. However, Sally has diligently relearned walking, writing, knitting - basically everything she can to continue the same activities she enjoyed prior to the stroke. Her daughter, Kathy Withers-Miklos, will run with her mother in the "inspirational pair." Kathy says her mother is an inspiration to everybody she meets.
