Tom Sutherland was held hostage in Lebanon by Islamic Jihad, but came back without any anger or bitterness, an inspiration to many people who are amazed with his good heart. He has spoken to hundreds of groups about his experience, including schools, churches, clubs, associations and corporations. Tom says carrying the torch is something beyond his dreams. "To be associated with the Winter Olympics is the thrill of a lifetime for me!"
